Keith and his wife Pat extensively travel all over Australia taking photographs of the scenery, animals and plants that they see. Keith has been an active photographer and adventurer all his life and has authored five books and two websites on Australian animals. Here Pat and Keith are on Mount Hergle, in the Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Claire National Park in Tasmania.

Keith Davey often runs Rock-pool Rambles for the summer Coastcare Activity Programme in the Newcastle and Hunter Region of NSW, Australia.

Children and people of all ages are introduced to and marvel at the variety of life that is to be found in the shore pools and across rocky shores.

Keith Davey is the author of "A Photographic Guide to Seashore Life of Australia" published by New Holland Press, now in it's second edition.

Keith's other books are "Our Arid Environment - animals of Australia's Desert Regions" published by A.H. & A.W. Reed and three books in the Periwinkle Color Series, "Australian Desert Life", "Australian Lizards" and "Australian Marsupials"

Keith Davey is a photographic enthusiast. Keith has judged at many Photographic Societies in the lower Hunter Region for about thirty five years. Because of his keen interest in natural history photography, Keith was initially sought after to judge Nature slide and print competitions. He is now asked to judge in all categories of photographic competition, including local, regional, national and international salons.

Before his retirement at the end of 2004, Keith was the Photography Coordinator in the Learning Production Unit at the University of Newcastle.

Now Keith and Pat travel and camp throughout Australia taking hundreds, if not thousands of landscape and nature close-up photographs using both 35mm and digital cameras. Keith spends between twelve and fifteen hours each day using photoshop on an Apple Mac G4 computer and is an accomplished digital and darkroom technician.
